Mcebisi Jonas has been appointed by President Ramaphosa as a special envoy to go to the United States of America. This is on behalf of South Africa and the government.
What is the mandate Mcebisi Jonas has?
President Ramaphosa strategically appointed Mcebisi Jonas to go to the US to have talks with the US. His mandate is to restore the relations between South Africa and the US. Also to clarify the misunderstanding of policies that were put into effect in South Africa.

Mcebisi Jonas is not a new ambassador but a special envoy to lead the talks in the US.

What caused the United States of America to abort the relations it has with SA??
US President Donald Trump, believed that South Africa had put into place policies that were oppressing white farmers. And that white father is being killed, and they are taking away their land by force. This has made Donald Trump make things hard for South Africa.

Donald stopped all funds that were helping South Africans to fight HIV and AIDS in South Africa. So Mcebisi Jonas is going to the US as a representative of President Ramaphosa and the government. To try to make the US government officials understand the policies put in place. And that farmers in South Africa are safe; no land has been taken from them. Also that farmers are not killed intentionally.

Why did the president choose Mcebisi Jonas?
In 2018, the president appointed Mcebisi Jonas as one of four presidential investment envoys. So basically President Ramaphosa saw it fit for him to be envoy to the US. Maybe it’s because he has been doing well in the investment envoys. So he might convince the US government to restore the relations between South Africa.

This is what the president said.
“In this capacity, Mr. Jonas is entrusted with the responsibility to advance South Africa’s diplomatic, trade, and bilateral priorities. He will lead negotiations, foster strategic partnerships, and engage with US government officials and private-sector leaders to promote our nation’s interests.”

“An eminent South African leader, Mr. Jonas served as one of four Presidential Investment Envoys that I appointed in 2018 to facilitate investment into South Africa,” Ramaphosa said. (1)

“In the interest of our country, our region, and the rest of our continent, I remain committed to rebuilding and maintaining this relationship for more decades on the basis of mutual respect, recognition of each other’s sovereignty, and benefit for our respective peoples,” Ramaphosa said.

Siyabonga Njezana

Siyabonga Njezana is a soccer player in South Africa. He is a former soccer player for Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. Currently he is playing in Europe for the club FCBC.

He revealed that he was raised by a single mother. According to Kaizer Chiefs news he went to stay with his mother at the age of 4.

Having lived without his father was not simple but he is grateful for his mother who raised him alone. Life was very hard for him since both parents where separated. Of course he knew his father at young age but things changed.
His life changed after he played for big teams in South Africa like Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. Later he got an opportunity to play abroad in Europe for club FCBC.
“My mother raised me alone, it was very difficult for us,” said Ngezana according to DigiSport
“I don’t come from a very good background. I was raised by a single mother. Football has taught me a lot in life-how to behave, how to have character. I have many wonderful memories. Signing my first professional contract was a huge moment for me.”

Teko Modise
Teko Modise is a former soccer player who played for Orlando Pirates. Those who recall what he did can tell you that he was the best player for Orlando Pirates.
Despite his fame as a well-known soccer player, Teko Modise grew up without his father. According to him, his father kicked him out of the house. This means that he once stayed with him until the age of 10, when he chased him away.

 
Modise stated that most of his family didn’t want him, which resulted in the homelessness of Teko Modise. He went to stay in the streets. Of course, this is a one-sided story of Teko; let’s just say he was a troublesome child.
It’s slightly impossible to be rejected by the whole family without a reason. Most children are in the streets because they didn’t want to be displined. Of course his mother took him after being chased away, but he ended up in the streets.
Teko began playing football to earn money. They were playing for small clubs at that time. The only way to get paid was to win in the games. This made him sharpen his skill to the point that he was recognized by big teams. At last he was recognized by Orlando Pirates and from there his life changed.
After growing up without his father and now famous, his father started to look for him through a program called Khumule Khaya. He denied seeing his father through the program because his father knew where to find him, but he wanted attention. Later he managed to reconcile with him and forgive each other.

Jabulani Shongwe
Jabulani Shongwe is a South African professional soccer player. He grew up without his father. He revealed his story after he was seen with his children taking care of them.
He stated that he knows how it feels to grow up without a father, so he is trying his best to make sure that he is a present father. Although his children are from different mothers, he tries by all means to fulfill his duty as a father.
It’s amazing to learn from experience and use that opportunity to improve in the future. He didn’t reveal much about who raised him and what happened. It’s probable that he was raised by a single mother or grandparents.
The issue of absent fathers is a big issue in South Africa, which affects a lot of people, including soccer players and other famous people. We hope the chain will be broken.
